Entry-level Exocad course

CAD 4D provides training at all levels, starting from Basic training in the Exocad software through to use of the various modules with the many Expert functions available.

The Basic or Entry-Level course has been created to give an understanding of the basic concepts of the digital environment and first-level use of Exocad. The aim of the course is to give participants the knowledge they need to understand digital terminology, with the aid of the very intuitive, user-friendly Exocad CAD software.

The course takes place in a number of steps, covering the following topics:

• 3D digital environment
• Working coordinates in the various dental CAD systems
• Knowledge of the basic concepts of scanning, analysis of the various systems
• Guidance on preparing models for scanning.
• Exocad worksheet creation (examination of the different types of protocol)
• Creation of the mesh file for export to Exocad CAD.
• Step by step analysis of the Exocad CAD software.
• Exocad CAD design of crowns and bridges with dental cement.
• Creation of the crowns and bridges with dental cement, saving and export of the Stl files for milling or laser melting.

CAD 4D offers the three teaching methods for Entry-Level training: theoretical group courses, theoretical-practical group courses and customised courses.

Theoretical group Basic/Entry level courses are created in slide&live view mode with a large teaching section and a smaller amount of time dedicated to the showing of live videos on design.

Theoretical-practical group Basic/Entry-level courses are held in live view mode. Each participant is able to work with Exocad at his or her own station, with an all-in-one touchscreen PC. The day is subdivided into a teaching part and a practical part, where each participant is able to put all the information seen in the theoretical part into practice straight away, with the constant support of a tutor.

The customised Basic/Entry-level course is intended for a maximum of two participants. The participants are able to choose the topics of interest to them, and the training will be provided in live view mode. Each participant will be able to work with Exocad at his or her own station, with an all-in-one touchscreen PC. The day is subdivided into a teaching part and a practical part, where each participant is able to put all the information seen in the theoretical part into practice straight away, with the constant support of a tutor.

In the customised Basic course, participants can bring their own working models and design directly with the tutors on the training day.
